Follow your Heart – Stay Hungry – Stay Foolish @ Steve Jobs

Steve_Jobs

I feel very inspired by his speech 2005 at Stanford University as Steve Jobs was sharing 3 stories of his life. The truth and wisdom of any of his stories was simple, yet quite powerful and meaningful to me.

Connecting the dots – Trust and Follow your Heart

  • It is impossible connecting the dots looking forward, but it is very, very clear looking backwards 10 years later. So you have to trust that the dots somehow connect in your future. You have to trust into something, god, destiniy, life, karma whatever, because believing that your dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even if it leads you of the well-worn path, but that will make all the difference.

Love and Loss – Sometimes life is going to hit the head with a brick, don’t loose faith.

  • The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. Sometimes life is going to hit the head with a brick, don’t loose faith. You got to find what you love. And the only way, you do great work is that you love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, don’t settle, keep looking.

Death – Single Best Invention of Life. It is a Change Agent

  • Remembering we’d all be dead soon is the most important tool I ever encountered, help me make the big choices in life, because almost everything, all external expectations, all pride or fear of embarrassement or failure, these things just fall away in the face of death. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma which is living by others’ people thinking. Don’t let the noise of other people’s opinion ground out your inner voice and most important have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

How does the New Business Model of Co-operation Look Like ?

How does the New Business Model of Co-operation Look Like ?

In this Interview with Dr. Chuck Spezzano, US Bestselling Author on Personal Transformation, Stefan Götz reveals inspiring insights about how the new business model of co-operation looks like.

Core statements from Chuck Spezzano:

  • Now, making money is a good thing but how to have everybody make lots of money, everybody get lots of value.
  • A vision is continuous inspiration and so you don’t have to go to work.
  • It’s how do we get to change our own mind into partnership based where everybody wins, not just as some kind of saying but as a reality.
  • If Africa fails, we all fail, we’re all interconnected in the economy. Let’s find a way to work cooperatively. A lot of these companies that are competing, when they start cooperating, everything is going to work better.
  • It’s radical, but going in this independent modus, is like going 80 miles an hour to a brick wall. There’s a turn here. There’s geniuses in business, there are some of our best leaders and they’re meant to lead the world, but right now, we’re called upon to change in a crisis where you can’t keep the old system. You need a whole new system of business.
  • Buckminster Fuller, did a scientific study, what would happen if everybody worked together beyond borders, what if we all cooperated and he scientifically proved that in 10 years the poorest person today would be richer in 10 years than the richest person is today.

Core statements from Chuck Spezzano:

  • First you may realize that there can be a better way and then to start asking well what is that better way?
  • If you have this competition at the office, it does not stop at the office. You bring it home. So you are competing with your kids, you are competing with your wife.
  • Back in the early ‘90’s, they interviewed Fortune 500 Company. What is the secret of your success? My relationship, number one thing. My second, my reliance on a higher power.
  • When you have a team that is cooperative, that is working together, that has that level of friendship, then given the same amount of talent, that is the team that is going to win.

How do we Open up Inspiration in Business

How do we Open up Inspiration in Business

In this Interview with Dr. Chuck Spezzano, US Bestselling Author on Personal Transformation, Stefan Götz reveals inspiring insights about how we may open up inspiration in business.

Core statements from Chuck Spezzano:

  • Well, independent people do not want inspiration because it is like falling in love, you give up control.
  • When you have control, the problem is it is a defense. It is based on fear and it is compensated for all business defeats and all the emotional heartbreaks.
  • You want someone who wants excellence and lives excellence.

7 Leadership Practices to Support Organizational Change

7 Leadership Practices to Support Organizational Change

From my daily practice of supporting corporate clients who invite organizational change that sustains, I find the following 7 leadership practices Otto Scharmer speaks about, very helpful:

(1) deep listening
(2) asking powerful questions, drawing people out
(3) letting go and letting come
(4) holding the space for their teams
(5) focusing on what you could change rather than complaining about what you can’t
(6) connect to your heart, being empathic, and
(7) using systems thinking–“thinking from source”–attending to the complex connections between the individual and the collective, between the inner and the outer.

Leading with the Heart could make a Difference to your Business

Leading with the Heart could make a Difference to your Business

In this Interview with Dr. Chuck Spezzano, US Bestselling Author on Personal Transformation, Stefan Götz reveals inspring insights, a new understanding of business and rule-breaking leadership approaches that will help any Change Leader to unfold the company’s purpose – for the people, the planet and profit.

A call for a different kind of entrepreneurship that is both sustainable and in partnership to lead the market.

Core statements from Chuck Spezzano:

  • You need a leader who is flexible themselves. You need a leader who is willing to keep growing. We have dinosaurs leading the way at times. We have to get over the dinosaur in ourselves.
  • So we keep demanding our way rather than let me see the new way, let me find a better way.
  • Analysis is just one tool but if it is used in a wrong way, it quickly becomes a defense. It becomes things that you break everything apart but you miss the whole picture, all the different pieces do not give you a vision.
  • All this is were business is being so right, it is being defensive. Business is meant to be the leader. You are not the leader if you’re the one defending where you got to.
